James Poch, Chairman

Jim Poch is Executive Director of the Plug In Carolina.  For the last 15 years, Jim has held sales and marketing positions in the field of emerging technologies including IBM, two internet start-ups, and five years as Vice President of Sales in the healthcare industry.  Late in 2006, Jim pursued his passion for clean, domestic energy by creating the non-profit coalition.  Since then, Jim has brought together civic, business, and environmental leaders looking to accelerate the adoption of plug-in hybrids for environmental, economic, and national security benefits.  
 
With the support of Duke Energy, SCE&G, Progress Energy, Santee Cooper, and the Piedmont Municipal Power Agency, Jim travels North and South Carolina educating the public.  He has made numerous television, radio, and print appearances while organizing an active community at www.plugincarolina.org.  
 

Jim is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is married with two children in Charleston, SC.           

William Buchanan, Secretary

William E. Buchanan practices law in the area of federal tax controversy and litigation for the firm Chamberlain Hrdlicka. His practice covers the full spectrum of controversy work, including audit, appeals and litigation. Mr. Buchanan is an experienced litigator and represents clients in the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Federal Claims and U.S. district courts.

William is a member of both the Barrister's Counsel at the Georgetown School of Law and the American Bar Association. William lives with his wife and three children in Atlanta, GA.

Scott Foster, Treasurer

Scott Foster is Vice President of Finance with Centene Health in Atlanta, GA. Scott received his Master's of Business Administration from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant. Since 1987, Scott has offered financial leadership for Ernst & Young, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, and Wellpoint.  Scott's responsibilities included leading a team of 65 finance associates as BCBSGA's Controller as well as the Interim CFO for Wellpoint's National Strategic Business Unit.  The Wellpoint NSBU spanned fourteen states and $3 billion in revenue.  

Scott is an active supporter of the University of Florida and lives in Atlanta with his wife and daughter.
