PLUG IN YOUR HYBRID FOR 100 MPG! We plug in our cell phones and ipods, why not our vehicles? Plug-In Hybrids (PHEV) are vehicles whose batteries have been enlarged to run primarily on electricity for local commutes, yet retain a gasoline engine for acceleration and long distance trips. Using existing hybrid technology, plugin hybrids achieve up to 100 mpg for local commutes, at roughly 75 cents a gallon. It is time to show auto manufacturers that Americans want PlugIn hybrids to lower fuel costs, clean our air, and reduce our nation's dependency on foreign oil.
